{ THE PROFILE GUIDE }
Awesome guide to Awesome. Kthx.
Awesome guide to Awesome. Kthx.
To fully enjoy what Catalyst to Destiny’s community has to offer, one should have a profile written, approved, and set for all the Role Play goodness that the forum has prepared. However, to get all of this, it is important to understand what there is to a profile, and what is expected of you as a role player on this Bleach based Role Play!
「 The Directory 」
Here is a little something that will help you manoeuvre your way around this awesomely huge

「 The Welcome Desk 」
Here’s a few things that we should elaborate on before we
First and foremost, it is important that every member FULLY reads The Rules. They include the rules for Out of Character conduct, as well as some base rules for In Character behavior. This is found in the Information Desk section.
While you’re there, it’s also a good idea to take a gander at The Plot. Seeing as we don’t follow the manga plotline, it will fill you in on what’s happening, and who’s doing what. That way, you can pick and choose what race you’d like your character to be, which would then lead you to...
The Positions Roster. Now why would we suggest that? Simple - we only have Original characters, there’s plenty of positions just waiting to be taken!
Regardless to whether you choose to take part in the site Canons, the next step to the process is to hit up The Profile Templates. Here, you’ll find all the templates for the races that we accept! The first portion of the templates are to show you what they look like - they’ve been pre-coded for convenience, so no need to worry about that. Also, they will include description of what should go in the sections, as well as the minimum requirement for whatever it may be that you have to fill out.
Now, how to do that you might ask? After all, the threads in which they are presented are locked, so you can't exactly go on a quoting spree for the coding. We've provided a way around that for you! See the little white box with all the words under the description? There is where you can highlight the code, and copy-paste into a post on either The Editor’s Office once you’ve completed it, or the The Manuscript Box for the profiles that are not complete. I strongly suggest that you save a copy of the profile on some kind of text-processing program (Like Word or OpenOffice) so that you won't lose everything in case of browser failure.

There might be few of you who will want to change a few things in the aspect of looks for your profile - this is perfectly fine, so long as the given fields of the original code from the Soft Template (the whole wall of text that you selected from the template earlier) are not removed. If you have inquiries on how far you can alter this, feel free to PM a staff member.
It’s fine to leave the profile coding as is - if you want to alter the profile but don’t quite understand how coding works, there’s always the UBBC Coding Guide (credit to Proboards Advertising) . There you can find the how-to’s and etc. of the commonly used tags.
Now that you’ve got your code and a general idea on what goes in the profile and all that fun stuff, it’s time to get to work on the profile itself.
「 ‘DO NOT WANT’ 」
Alright, so here’s a few no-no’s that you should keep in mind while your fingers tap away at that keyboard.
「 PLAGIARISM 」What is it you might ask? Taking another’s work/idea and claiming it as your own Sure, you might not be directly implying that THIS IS MINE, but by posting it in your profile or anywhere else in the board without giving proper credit to the author/artist/whoevertheheckcreatedit is considered plagiarism. There’s a reason as to why there are such dire consequences when using it in school, and that reason is that it’s ILLEGAL. Thus, we kindly ask you (and we’ll unkindly ask you if need be) to refrain from doing such obscenities on Catalyst to Destiny.
You are all intelligent writers (or so we’re hoping), and we trust that this simple condition can be fulfilled without any problems. If you skipped this or do not comply, you will be promptly given a one week ban alongside a stern warning from Staff. Repetition of this after the ban will result in a permanent ban from the forum.
「 MATURE PICTURES/CONTENT 」
Catalyst to Destiny is a PG-13 Board. This means no explicit content in any manner. No sexytiem posts, no RAEP posts, no OHBBYHGGNNN pictures[/blockquote](Unless those pictures happen to be of Alexander Skarsgard. imeanwut).
ANY PICTURE posted on Catalyst to Destiny must abide by these criterion:
- No visible nipples. This means they should not be visible under clothing.
- Not too much skin/No nudity. This includes nude pictures that have been censored.
- No camel toes. Panty shots are fine as long as they completely cover the necessary parts (No thongs please).
- No obviously sexual scenes/poses.
- No genitals, no butt/buttcrack.
Concerning the History:
- No descriptive sexual acts in history. Brief mentioning only. If in recent/relevant history, emotional/mental effects left (In the case of rape)
「 KAMEHAMEHAAAAAAAA 」 © DragonBall and Co.
As fun as it may seem, the integration of moves from another anime (whether they be under the original name or renamed to suit) is strictly forbidden. First of all, it’s a form of plagiarism, which I’m sure we’ve established as something that should be avoided at all costs. Second of all, it shows that you have no creativity whatsoever and rely solely on episode and movies to draw your ‘creativity’ from. If you are inspired by a certain something from somewhere, then please at least tweak it so that it is not completely evident that the move you’ve just written is a rip-off of so-and-so’s technique.
And now, for a few essentials that will push you for that extra effort in the profiles.
「 Power Levels 」
IT'S OVER 9- ... Nah. We have a specific, non-point based Rank System here at Catalyst to Destiny, read about it to get a grasp of the pecking order In-Character. The maximum ranks and limits will be specified in the Race Guides.[/blockquote]
