What does CTD/C2D stand for?
CTD or C2D stands for Catalyst to Destiny - it's an acronym to refer to the site's name.
I don't get it, I thought RP/Role-Playing referred to a videogame genre?
CTD is what you can refer to as a 'pen and paper' Role-Playing site. Role-Playing refers to the change of one's behaviour to assume a role, so this is not limited, nor restricted to role-playing videogames. Everything we role-play here is by text, so if you were looking for a role-playing videogame you are at the wrong address. But if you do happen to have Alexander Skarsgards, please, do stay!
Why doesn't Ichigo and the rest of the Bleach cast exist here?
CTD is an AU RP - this is short form for Alternate Universe Role Play. This mean we simply use the manga as a base, and not a rule book. For that same reason, you will see that there are differences in the way things run in this world, (especially if you've taken a gander at the Plot). This gives you more opportunity to go ahead and use your Original Character in settings you wouldn't be able to had this be a Canon based site (one that follows the Manga pretty much to a tee.)
Can I be a powerless, spiritually aware human?
Absolutely! There is no reason why you cannot. However you must care to note that your character shall be very weak, and very defenseless, so it's quite important to use the proper thread tags (i.e. No Death/No Violence), to avoid being severely wounded. Also, should you change your mind after the character has been approved, you will have to obtain powers In Character, meaning you'd either have to be of Quincy lineage, become a Fullbring, or shoot yourself in the side of the head. :)
Can I be a Shinigami Noble?
Yes, you can! You can even create a high noble family, however, it'll come at a cost of a Major Canon spot. A not-leading Noble member requires a minor canon spot, to avoid everyone becoming nobility randomly.
More details are soon to follow!
If I have an issue with a staff member, who do I go see?
If you have an issue with a staff member, please make an attempt to sort it out with them before coming to the Admin (me) with the problem. When it is reported, there will be a mediation session before anything, and the rest will progress from there.
Can I have a canon role? And if I can, how do I apply for it?
Yes, absolutely, so long as there are canon spots available, (So those that are marked OPEN), you may apply to take up a canon spot. To do so, you must post in the Positions Roster thread, located in the Profile Infocenter, using the specified template. From there, you have two weeks to create the corresponding profile, and submit it for evaluation. Once it is satisfactory, you have a two week-trial, and will be notified if you may hold the position for an extended period of time.
If all the canon spots are taken, can you make one for me? Or better yet, can you make my character canon?
If all canon spots are taken (Which realistically, is unlikely), it is very probably that the staff run a canon check, to verify that all positions are being held by active members, and if the case is that all positions are indeed active, there is most likely plot development happening to open up more canon spots/create more canon spots.
As for creating a canon spot for a character, that unfortunately will not be happening, as all NPCs shall be played by staff, to help with proper plot advancement.
Can I kill it/him/her?
There are several conditions to keep in mind whilst doing this - first of all, is the character you plan on killing off a canon character? If so, please run it by staff first, as there might be things planned for said character. Second, you might want to run this idea by the author/creator of the victim. Of course, if you don't plan on doing so, other things need to be verified. Such as: the thread that you are doing this in - if it is tagged No Death, No Maiming, or No Violence, you obviously are not allowed to kill them off because they are not consenting to taking the risk of being killed. If there are no such tags in the thread title, feel free to try your luck. (Remember, killing people who are stronger than you take considerable skill - or teaming up.) Once you're through with that, fill out a Death Request!
Can we make a war?
War = Plot. Plot will move how it will. Stay patient, and who knows, maybe a war might just break out. Realistically though, it really depends on the way that the canon characters interact.
Why didn't my profile get approved?
If you haven't had a reply on your thread yet, it's most likely because staff haven't had the time to get around to it yet. If your profile doesn't get graded after a week, feel free to send me (Twinkie) a PM informing me politely of the status of your profile evaluation, and I'll take care of it. Now, if it has been graded, you must make the according changes that are asked - as CTD is an intermediate to advanced RP, there are certain quota a profile must meet in quality and detail. If you've fixed it and it is still not approved, please speak to the staff grading your profile, and they can fill you in on the details of what you need to do.
How long can I leave without losing my canon spot?
If you have IRL issues you must attend to and do let the forum know through the Absences thread, you have up to a month and a half. If not, it's whenever we do the canon checks, which is about one every month. [/blockquote]
Can I has trolling?
Trololol carefully - do not break the rules, as you may suffer severely for a few minutes from underneath the bridge. Please keep this to a minimum. As funny as it may be at first, it can quickly get very annoying, and can easily lead to a banning.
Can I go into other people's inner worlds?
Absolutely not. We are RP-ing Bleach, not Inception.
Can I make a child soldier?
If you are prepared to RP accordingly and realistically, sure! Of course, this involves severe trauma and shock, and all the other fun stuff soldiers normally get, but worse! Point is, as much fun as child-prodigies are, don't over exaggerate. You cannot raise yourself from the age of 2. It just doesn't work that way.
